· If you are sick, wear a mask. If you are not sick, you do not need to wear a mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.
· Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks. If surfaces are dirty, clean them: use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.
· There is currently no drug treatment for COVID-19. The anti-malaria drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine have shown activity in laboratory studies against coronaviruses. Due to this, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency-use authorization for hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to combat the rapid spread of the coronavirus. However, clinical trials are still needed to provide scientific evidence that these treatments are effective.
